Tesco Management Inc. has identified a tremendous need for web based software (go green policy) for maintaining active and archived online records of individuals for both Residential and Day Care Providers. Tesco has partnered with us to develop a system to control and manage disability services provided for individuals.
The main challenge of the application is managing the HIPPA compliant data itself. On top of that in majority of the cases, the application will be housed in locations that has very poor Internet connections. In some cases, the proposed application has to support bulk data entry – paper data collection at patient care centers and entering into the software late. We have to create software that is secure, robust, and provide multiple ways of entering the data
The very step is to understand various types of physical settings where the system will be deployed. We facilitated brainstorming sessions with all the stakeholders to analyze the deeper set of requirements and understand the intricacies of the data entry at such settings. Then we conducted series of interview with potential users and domain experts to fine tune our results and drive our requirements guidelines. Once we have a common understanding document, we prototyped different 10’s of ways of data entry mechanisms – auto pulling date, partial saving, offline data entering, history based data entry, etc. – and conducted another round of user interview and usability studies to inform the product philosophy.
We built a comprehensive SaaS application (web based) targeted towards managing workflows of long-term care service centers for people with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities. This web application has functional pieces to manage individuals, document their day programs, generate custom reports, and plan and schedule staff. With a custom notification system, dynamic roles allocation, and an efficient admin portal we have created a transparent, easy, and seamless communication channel between administrators, managers, and staff. Few highlights of the system:
